Objective
- This project aims to research, develop, and demonstrate a Daejeon-type converged emerging industry infrastructure based on the 5G+ platform utilizing AI and SDN technologies.
- Through the use of network slicing, a core technology of software-defined 5G, the project validates ultra-high-speed, ultra-low-latency, and secure communication performance, and demonstrates a digital transformation infrastructure for both the science & technology sector and industry

Description
- Smart Building Network Separation with SDN: Demonstrated network separation within KISTI research facilities to establish a secure data zone where data from KISTI’s supercomputer and research network users can be safely utilized. (Use case: IDC center deployment, secure smart apartment networks, etc.)
- 5G+ Secure Data Zone Demonstration Using 60GHz mmWave Wireless Technology: Validated integrated 5G+ and SDN-based technologies in KISTI research buildings. The results will be applied to smart apartments and IDC centers under construction by project partner Geumseong Baekjo Housing.
- Smart Factory Integration with Edge Computing and 5G+: Built and tested an intelligent, low-cost smart factory environment integrating edge-based data with AI, SDN, and 5G+ networking. Demonstration included robotic automation, AI vision systems, auto-feeding systems, IoT platforms, and AI software.
- Digital Transformation for Industrial Bottlenecks: Verified Data-Network-AI integrated technologies to resolve common smart factory issues such as data loss, latency, reduced uptime, and lower yield caused by network bottlenecks.
Expected Benefits
- Smart Factory Commercialization: Commercialization of a dedicated digital twin solution for smart factories by integrating core technologies validated in the demonstration with intelligent factory management systems.
- Smart Building Deployment: Following validation of 5G+ private network-based separation technology, the solution will be applied and commercialized for smart apartments and secure building networks.
- Application to Government-Driven Secure Data Zones: Leverages the independent slicing capability of network slicing technology to implement secure data zones in public institutions and universities, allowing wired/wireless separation by device or time.
