Goal
The project aims to accelerate collaborative research and achieve outstanding research results by providing high-performance KREONET services to ting-edge research groups or researchers selected through a public contest.

Eligible participants
- Researchers or research communities in advanced research fields that require real-time data exchange or joint use of research resources such as large-scale data
- Challenging domestic and global collaborative research
- National priority R&D fields and core technology development projects
- Research on solving global issues such as climate change and preparing for the future
Research support details
- Providing dedicated gigabit network and technical support
- Technical support for utilizing KREONET, including improving data transmission performance
- Support for global collaborative research based on KREONET
- KREONET services include large-capacity data transfer services (ScienceDMZ, data transfer nodes, data transfer tools, network performance measurement and monitoring), ID federation services (KAFE), online video conferencing services (Webinar), and testbeds
Current status in 2025
- Supporting more than 10 research communities in advanced science and technology fields
:High-energy physics, astronomy, meteorology, biogenomics, big data convergence, DNA (data/network/artificial intelligence), large-scale experiments, on-line education, quantum communications, advanced medical technology, etc.
- Support for 80 projects by researchers or research groups in advanced science and technology fields
- Focused support for large-scale scientific research projects in four fields (from 2021 to present)
